Why Choose the Fusion 360 Drone Design Course?
Design a complete, flight-ready drone frame from a blank sketch to manufacturing files. This project-based course takes you through the exact workflow used by FPV frame designers and UAV engineering teams parametric frame plates, load-bearing arms, motor mounts built to real component footprints, a sculpted canopy, stress simulation, and export-ready files for 3D printing and carbon fibre cutting.
You will leave with a finished drone frame of your own design, a full technical drawing set, and rendered portfolio images.
Duration: 12 Hours
Customise your training — choose your preferred hours from Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Call 0207 720 2581 or message us on WhatsApp at 07970 325184 to book.
By the end of this Fusion 360 drone design course in London, you will be able to design a complete multirotor airframe in Autodesk Fusion 360 and produce the files needed to actually manufacture it.
You will learn the full end-to-end drone design process, including:
- Translating a flight brief into hard design constraints — prop size, motor-to-motor distance, all-up weight
- Parametric frame design driven by a user parameter table, so one edit resizes the whole airframe
- Modelling to real hardware footprints — flight controller stacks, motor bolt patterns, battery bays
- Arm and motor mount design with the stiffness a powered frame actually needs
- Freeform canopy and shell sculpting for aerodynamic bodies and camera pods
- Assembly, joints and motion — including folding-arm and adjustable camera mechanisms
- Weight and centre-of-gravity budgeting, including designing to the sub-250g class
- Static stress simulation on arms under thrust and landing-impact loads
- Weight reduction using topology and generative design tools
- Export for manufacture — STL/3MF for 3D printing, DXF for carbon fibre CNC and laser cutting
- Technical drawings, exploded views and a bill of materials
- Studio-quality rendering and exploded animations for your portfolio
By the end of the course you will have designed, tested and documented your own drone frame independently.
